A London Heritage Farm Wedding in Steveston, BC
Sam and John celebrated their summer wedding at London Heritage Farm in Richmond, BC, surrounded by their closest family and friends. Set in the heart of Steveston, the historic farmhouse and surrounding gardens created a beautiful backdrop for their outdoor ceremony and reception.
The day began with a relaxed morning of getting ready before Sam and John shared a private first look. We photographed their wedding party and family portraits before guests began to arrive, allowing them to move into the ceremony with the formal photographs already behind them. From that point on, they were able to be completely present with their guests and enjoy the celebration as it unfolded.
Their wedding felt elegant without being overly formal with black bridesmaid dresses, classic black-tie suiting, soft white and green florals, and a relaxed outdoor reception that eventually turned into a very lively dance floor. I photographed the day on a combination of film and digital, balancing candid interactions and unscripted moments with more intentional, editorial portraiture.
